Requirements

High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Certificate for Medication Aide in GA
One (1) year of experience in a CMA role required
CPR certification and first aide required
Valid GA driver’s license and transportation
Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Responsible for administering prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within their scope of practice as defined by state regulations.
Documents the outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary
Provides assistance with basic healthcare needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
Provides psycho-social support and other personal care to assigned residents.
Communicates changing conditions, medication follow-up, and care-related concerns to the charge nurse.
Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs.
Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
