Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Certificate for Medication Aide in GA
  • One (1) year of experience in a CMA role required
  • CPR certification and first aide required
  • Valid GA driver’s license and transportation
  • Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for administering prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and within their scope of practice as defined by state regulations.
  • Documents the outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Provides assistance with basic healthcare needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
  • Provides psycho-social support and other personal care to assigned residents.
  • Communicates changing conditions, medication follow-up, and care-related concerns to the charge nurse.
  • Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs.
  • Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
