Requirements

  • Must hold a current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas
  • Valid CPR certification required
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with medication administration
  • Ability to work independently and remain alert
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills
  • Compassionate and professional approach to resident care

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily activities, including dressing, eating, and personal hygiene.
  • Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight) and report any concerns.
  • Properly set up, administer, and document medications following facility policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain medication and treatment areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Report medication refusals or adverse reactions to the supervising nurse.
  • Provide supportive and respectful care, encouraging residents' independence while offering assistance as needed.
  • Follow infection control procedures and ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to enhance the overall well-being of residents.
