Texas Oncology – Deke Slayton Webster location part of the Gulf Coast Region is seeking a full-time, team-oriented Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D. or M.S.) to join our team. We are open to hiring a upcoming 2026 Physics Resident graduate and holding the position until their July 1, 2026 graduation date or an early date if available. Requirements

Applicants must have a Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university.
Must be ABR certified, or have completed a CAMPEP approved residency and be board eligible, and have working experience in a clinical environment.
Texas Medical Board license required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

The Medical Physicist is responsible for the design optimization, technical evaluation, and precise and accurate delivery of radiation treatment plans.
Responsible for the safety of patients and staff.
May participate in clinical, research and educational duties.
Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Full range of on-site clinical medical physics support to include HDR
Support and participate in physics support for the Gulf Coast Region
Occasionally, as needed, travel to sites within the region for on-site physics support
Determines the need for, specifies, and accesses dosimetric and treatment planning equipment including, but not limited to, measurement instruments to calibrate all treatment equipment and monitoring devices, computerized treatment planning systems, computerized water phantom systems with appropriate ionization chambers and diodes, etc.
Advises and consults with physicians to provide advice or direction to technical staff when patients are being planned or treated.
