Position Highlights: Shift Schedule: Wednesday-Tuesday 8 pm - 6:30 am (7 on/7 off) Department: Laboratory Location: High Point Job Summary : Performs tests and analyzes body fluids and tissue or prepares blood components/products to provide high quality, comprehensive medical laboratory results in compliance with section policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required.
  • MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Medical Lab Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results.
  • Ensures quality of test results by following defined Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.
  • Ensures safety and compliance.
  • Maintains appropriate education to accomplish work objectives and maintain current certifications as applicable.
  • Ensures productive and efficient operations of the section and department.
  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
