About The Position
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing Inc. is hiring a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) to join the Radiation Oncology team at the VA Maryland Health Care System. The CMD will perform treatment planning and dosimetry calculations to ensure accurate and effective delivery of prescribed radiation doses to Veterans.
Requirements
- Graduate of a formal dosimetry training program.
- Must hold active certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in radiation oncology dosimetry.
- Proficient with Varian Eclipse treatment planning and ARIA systems.
- Expertise in contouring, plan evaluation, and dose constraint management.
- Experience with 2D/3D, IMRT, SBRT, and SRS treatment calculations.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to patient safety, and excellent collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize radiation treatment plans using Eclipse or equivalent systems.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and physicists to ensure accurate dose distribution.
- Perform calculations for treatment delivery, including IMRT, SBRT, and SRS.
- Assist in treatment simulation, tumor localization, and fabrication of immobilization or beam-modifying devices.
- Conduct dose verification and maintain comprehensive dosimetry QA documentation.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and peer review meetings.
