About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder specializing in Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) services. This role is responsible for accurate coding of medical records in an acute care setting while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and payer guidelines. The position begins with 1–2 weeks of onsite training , followed by a remote work arrangement , offering flexibility while maintaining high productivity standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• One of the following certifications required: CCS, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
• Minimum 4+ years of outpatient coding experience
• Emergency Department (ED) coding experience required
• Hands-on experience with EPIC and 3M/HDS coding systems

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient coding experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for outpatient and ED encounters
• Review and analyze medical records for completeness and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and payer-specific guidelines
• Utilize coding systems such as EPIC and 3M/HDS
• Research and resolve coding discrepancies
• Maintain strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
• Collaborate with team members and support coder training initiatives
• Work independently with minimal supervision post-training
• Meet productivity and quality benchmarks in a remote environment
• Contribute to overall revenue cycle and coding efficiency goals
