About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant in Primary Care at Piedmont Healthcare is responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program is required.
• In lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required.
• BLS required.
• Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under supervision.
• Assist physicians and nurses in clinical tasks.
• Ensure compliance with established guidelines and standards.
