About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant position is a nonexempt role within the Clinic Services department. Medical assistants are integral members of the health care delivery team, performing delegated clinical and administrative procedures under the supervision of a provider. The role is designed to align with the medical assistant's education, training, and experience, ensuring that the duties performed do not constitute the practice of medicine.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants
• CMA certification
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms and ensures cleanliness
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment
• Takes patient histories and vital signs
• Assists with patient EKGs
• Prepares patient charts for appointments
• Maintains patient confidentiality
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision
