Midland Care Connection is a not-for-profit, community-based organization dedicated to helping older adults and seriously ill individuals stay independent and supported in their homes. Established in 1978, it offers a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and its signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Our mission centers on "meeting individual needs through innovative care solutions," and we serve people across multiple counties in northeast Kansas. Residential Program Provides a supportive, home-like environment for individuals with complex health needs who require around-the-clock care. The program focuses on compassionate, person-centered services that promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Residents receive assistance with daily activities such as personal care, medication management, and health monitoring, while also benefiting from social interaction and emotional support. An interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals works together to develop individualized care plans that address each resident’s physical, emotional, and social needs. In addition to long-term residential care, the program also offers respite care services, giving family caregivers temporary relief while ensuring their loved ones receive safe, professional care in a comfortable and supportive setting. This service allows caregivers time to rest or manage personal responsibilities while knowing their loved one is well cared for. Certified Medical Assistant Plays an important role in supporting residents’ daily health and well-being. The CMA is responsible for administering medications as prescribed, monitoring residents for any side effects or changes in condition, and accurately documenting medication administration. In addition to medication management, CMAs assist residents with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, mobility, and meal support when needed. They also communicate regularly with nurses and other members of the care team to report concerns or updates about residents’ health. By providing attentive care and building positive relationships with residents, CMAs help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment within the residential program.
