About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support an outpatient cardiology physician practice. The CMA will provide direct clinical care and administrative support under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner or professional nurse. This role ensures efficient clinic operations and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical outpatient setting preferred.
  • Strong skills in patient rooming, taking vital signs, and working with EMR systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • One of the following active certifications: CMA (AAMA, NHA, NCCT) RMA (AMT, NAHP) AMCA NCMA
  • Phlebotomy experience

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical outpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms, including supplies and instruments.
  • Prepare patients for physician visits and assist during examinations.
  • Obtain and accurately record vital signs in the medical record.
  • Perform diagnostic and clinical procedures as validated, including EKGs, PFTs, audiometry, Titmus testing, UDS, BAT, phlebotomy, and other lab testing.
  • Properly maintain and operate clinical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, filing documentation and reports as required.
  • Assist with billing and collection processes as needed.
  • Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems and office software efficiently.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Deliver care appropriate to patient age, culture, language, and physical or sensory needs; communicate effectively with patients and caregivers.
  • Adhere to organizational standards and competencies.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Meet physical job requirements, including standing for extended periods and lifting/pushing/pulling light weights.
