About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) supports physicians and clinical staff by performing both clinical and administrative duties within the assigned clinic or specialty practice. This role plays a key part in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while ensuring smooth daily operations of the clinic.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent – Required
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent – Required
• Active CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of hire
• Strong critical thinking and sound judgment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Effective communication and documentation skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to patient-centered care

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient assessments and treatments
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the care team
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information in the medical record
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms
• Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including stocking, cleaning, troubleshooting, and reordering
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned, including scheduling, patient registration, data entry, and front-desk support
