SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE! The Certified Medical Assistant reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Medical Assistant performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical record. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients in a primary care setting. Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. Perform various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, administering vaccinations/medications, and collecting samples. Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient visits. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members. Follow all safety and infection control protocols. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and quality improvement. Attend trainings and stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices. Display a professional and positive attitude towards patients and colleagues. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care for patients. Demonstrate a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards. Act as an advocate for patients and provide emotional support when needed. Assist in scheduling and coordinating patient appointments. Handle administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls and managing patient records. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and patient care. Adhere to all ethical standards and codes of conduct in the healthcare profession. Serve as a role model for other healthcare professionals in terms of professionalism and dedication to patient care.
