Certified Medical Assistant - Orthopeadic Trauma
About The Position
ECU Health Physicians is multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina. Coordinates clinic operations and assist providers by performing vital signs, patient questionnaire intake, data entry and medical records management. Assists with and provides patient care services and customer services as necessary. Maintains all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records. Must demonstrate skill in clinical duties such as vitals, health history and other clinical duties as directed by clinicians. Possesses time management skills and the ability to manage and perform multiple tasks and assist patients and providers as necessary.
Requirements
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- High School, equivalent or higher is required
- One of the following certifications is required: 1. Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) 2. Registered Medical Assistant through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) 3. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Career Association (NHA) + either 2 years of experience or graduation from an in-person formal training program
