About The Position

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician owned and managed primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Estero, Fort Myers, and Lehigh Acres. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Pediatrics division in Cape Coral. Schedule is Flexible Monday through Sunday, Day Shift.

Requirements

• A certification/registration from an accredited program for medical assistants (CCMA, CMA, RMA, or ABR-OE) or a minimum of two years working as a medical assistant and the ability to get certified/credentialed within six months of employment
• Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
• Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients
• Knowledge of phlebotomy, patient intake, and common medications
• One year of medical assisting experience or a combination of medical education and work experience
• CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Regular and reliable attendance is required

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient and physician use
• Perform patient intake; vital signs, medical history, and medication review
• Assist physicians in the exam room during physicals and procedures
• Record patient charts in the management system in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
