In the Baptist MA Float Pool, the candidate will work from different Primary Care office locations. Responsibilities will include rooming patients and answering clinical calls. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years Patient Care Experience
- Ability to work across multiple locations with flexibility
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree
- Over 5 years Patient Care Experience Preferred
- Experience in Physician's office - Primary Care or Specialty Clinics Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
