About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a 13-week contract assignment in a family care clinic setting . The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role involves working closely with providers to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric patients.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the last 3 years) as a Certified Medical Assistant in a clinic setting (Family Practice, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine)
Experience working with pediatric patients
Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood draws
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – required
BLS / BCLS (Basic Life Support / Basic Cardiac Life Support) – required

Responsibilities

Perform preliminary patient assessments, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medications, and chief complaints
Greet, room, and prepare patients for provider visits
Administer medications and vaccines via oral, injection, topical, ophthalmic, rectal, and inhalant routes as ordered
Draw and process blood samples; prepare specimens for laboratory testing
Perform routine clinical procedures, including EKGs as required
Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and follow up to ensure completion
Accurately document patient information, test results, and clinical findings in the medical record
Communicate care plans and test results to patients as directed by providers
Clean, prepare, and sterilize instruments; maintain organized and stocked exam rooms
Adhere to infection control, safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance standards
Protect patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
Assist with front-office duties as needed and perform other assigned tasks
