The Adult Medicine Clinic is a large, shared-space, multispecialty clinic with 2 large primary care practices, and 10 other specialty care clinics such as pulmonary, lung transplant, lupus, and endocrinology. The CMAs provide vital support functions including, but not limited to, rooming, intake, care gap management, vitals, 5 different point of care tests, EKGs, vaccine and medication administration, diabetic retinopathy imaging, and support for small procedures. The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when performing clinical tasks during patient care. The CMA maintains an inventory of examination/procedure room supplies, assists in the organization of efficient patient flow, and organizes the clinic environment to assure patient safety. The CMA participates in medication and procedure education for patients and their families by providing brochures and literature and may administer meds as ordered by provider. The CMA records care provided in patient medical record. Shift : Full Time (40 hours) / Day Shift, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (May vary slightly depending on location) No weekends!
