About The Position
Sentara Medical Group Foot and Ankle Specialist Leigh Clinic is seeking to hire a Full Time Medical Assistant in the Norfolk, Va area! Offering a Sign-On Bonus up to 5K for Qualified Medical Assistants! Position Location: Virginia Beach, VA Position Status: Full-time Days, Monday-Friday "The Foot and Ankle MA is provided the opportunity for advancement within the group by pursuing Rad Tech-Limited licensure when the course is offered though out each year. Foot & Ankle has a unique MA/RT-Limited position and job title for this role which does come with a pay increase once licensure has been obtained". Overview Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
- BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
- 1 year of clinical or administrative experience
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
