How you’ll make an impact in this role Proficiency in patient rooming protocols, conduct patient intake,measure vital signs, and assist the care team with treatments and procedures as directed. Manage phone communications, maintain patient records, and assist with supply inventory, ordering, and stocking. Ensure treatment rooms are prepared for examinations and the clinical area is clean and well-organized. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, including follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribe patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years of experience in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with patient rooming procedures.
  • Three or more years of experience with Medical Insurance, Pre-Authorizations, and Authorizations.
