We're searching for a dynamic and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant / Medical Assistant (NOT Med Aide or CNA) to join our incredible team and help us keep hearts beating strong. What you'll be doing: You'll be the warm and reassuring voice and face for our patients, guiding them through their visit from check-in to check-out. You'll masterfully take their vital signs, meticulous medical histories, and ensure they feel comfortable and informed. You'll be an indispensable support to our cardiologists and providers. This includes preparing exam rooms with precision, assisting with vital cardiology procedures (like stress tests, Holter monitor applications, and EKGs – you'll become an EKG expert!), and ensuring all equipment is spotless and ready. Under supervision, you'll administer injections and medications with accuracy and care, always prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You'll be the vital link between patients, providers, and other team members, expertly communicating important information, scheduling follow-up appointments, and answering patient questions with clarity and compassion. Requirements
- Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
- Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Guiding patients through their visit from check-in to check-out.
- Taking vital signs, meticulous medical histories, and ensure they feel comfortable and informed.
