About The Position

PanCare of Florida is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse or provider while helping ensure an efficient, supportive, and positive experience for every patient that walks through our doors. Requirements

  • Patient preparation, vitals, injection administration, phlebotomy, and specimen handling
  • Knowledge of basic lab procedures and diagnostic support
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and medical software
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and strong patient-education approach
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred
  • Certification required(CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred — new graduates welcome to apply

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures while maintaining a caring, professional environment
  • Take and record vital signs and other clinical measurements
  • Perform basic diagnostic tests and collect specimens (blood draw, urine collection, swabs, etc.)
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by a provider
  • Assist with exams, procedures, and medical treatments
  • Document all care and patient interactions accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Support referral processing, care coordination, and follow-up documentation
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and inventory, ensuring cleanliness and readiness
  • Support compliance with CLIA, OSHA, safety, and infection-control standards
  • Assist with care gap closure, UDS/HEDIS documentation, and quality measures
  • Help ensure timely and efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
