About The Position

Tri-Cities Community Health (TCCH), founded in 1981, is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing quality, accessible healthcare to migrant and farm workers and underserved populations in Pasco, Kennewick, Richland, and surrounding areas. TCCH operates six clinical sites, offering comprehensive primary care services including dental, optometry, pharmacy, behavioral health, and endocrinology, with a continually expanding spectrum of services. The organization also connects patients to vital social services like WIC and Maternal Support Services and provides medication delivery. TCCH's core values are Quality, Respect, and Service. TCCH is actively recruiting Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) to join its Care Team at the Kennewick Primary and Dental Care site. The role is vital for patient care across various nursing areas, focusing on delivering safe and precise patient care and offering support to medical, nursing, and all patient care personnel.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant license from the State of Washington required
  • Must have or obtain current CPR certification within three (3) months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the skills and judgment necessary to provide direct and non-direct care to patients under the direct supervision of licensed personnel
  • Maintain up-to-date certification and medical knowledge
  • Efficiently operate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Attend all required safety training programs and describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards
  • Follow the organization’s exposure control plans and bloodborne and airborne pathogens protocol
  • Upkeep departmental supplies and inventory
  • Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment
  • Work on a team toward surpassing departmental goals and objectives across multiple departments and facilities
  • Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned and authorized by RCW 18.360 and WAC 246-827
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned
