About The Position

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)
1 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
ACLS or BCLS upon hire (PREFERRED)
Experience in Gastroenterology (PREFERRED)
EPIC/EMR System experience (PREFERRED)
Team Player (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

1 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant
ACLS or BCLS upon hire
Experience in Gastroenterology

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
May work in the front office as needed
May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
