About The Position
KLS is looking for a high -energy, detail -oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a specialized medical practice in Southwest Atlanta. This is a Temp -to -Hire role designed for a clinical professional who enjoys a fast -paced environment and is ready to hit the ground running. While this is a Nephrology practice, prior experience in Nephrology is not required. We are looking for a seasoned CMA with strong transferable skills from Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or other specialty clinics. If you are clinically sharp and a quick learner, we will provide the specialty -specific context you need.
Requirements
- Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands -on clinical experience.
- Strong background in vitals, phlebotomy, and EMR documentation is essential.
- Must be available to start ASAP
- High level of empathy, strong multitasking abilities, and a "team -player" attitude.
Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Efficiently room patients and capture accurate vital signs (BP accuracy is especially critical here).
- Clinical Flow: Assist providers with exams and maintain organized patient charts in the EMR.
- Care Coordination: Manage lab orders, track results, and assist with patient scheduling.
- Patient Connection: Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact for patients managing chronic conditions.
