About The Position

We are seeking a Primary Care Certified Medical Assistant , also referred to as a n Outpatient Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) , Family Medicine Medical Assistant Medicine or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) . Our Primary Care CMA supports providers by preparing patients for exams, performing clinical tasks like taking vitals, administering injections, and documenting in the EMR. They also help with patient education, care coordination, and front office duties to ensure efficient and high-quality care. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Diploma.
Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.

Nice To Haves

Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for exams by taking vitals, updating medical history, and noting current symptoms
Assist with clinical procedures such as EKGs, injections, wound care, and immunizations
Collect and process lab specimens including blood draws, throat swabs, and urinalysis
Administer medications, coordinate referrals and follow-ups, and document care in the EMR
Provide patient education, support infection control, and help with scheduling and front office tasks
