About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant performs appointment scheduling and registration for patients and updates demographic information. This position also performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians, prepares the examination room for the patient, takes patient vital signs and records vitals in the medical chart, maintains patients’ medical charts, and receives co-payments for the visit. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited teaching establishment
• Must obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment (if not currently certified)
• Keyboarding skills and aptitude for learning patient database program
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Committed to supporting UCH’s standard of medical excellence
