About The Position

Marietta Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join their growing aesthetics team. The medical assistant provides back-office support for patients and other clinical team members. This position performs tasks such as taking vitals, height/weight measurements, and post-operative care. This individual will play a significant role in the communication and flow of the office.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to work in both Marietta and Woodstock (Towne Lake) locations
  • Competency in basic medical assisting skills. Including, rooming patients, assisting provider with exams, answering phones, scheduling appointments and surgeries
  • Strong working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong computer skills including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Positive, customer-focused approach, with a commitment to providing excellent patient care
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure & multi-task
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Diploma from an accredited medical assistant program and Medical Assistant Certification required (CMA, RMA ).
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
  • BLS Certification (Required)
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with medical software preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a plastic surgery office or comparable medical office setting (Dermatology or Cosmetic Dentist)
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Preferred)
  • EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Ambulatory surgery center: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain all digital client records
  • Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history prior to each appointment
  • Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
  • Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facility
  • Assist the nurse and office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and grooming at all times
