About The Position

The Medical Assistant performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of an assigned clinic or physician office. This role works under the supervision of a physician or nurse to support patient care, clinic workflow, and daily operations while ensuring a safe and efficient environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent
  • CCMA, CMA, or RMA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of hire
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians or nurses with patient assessments and treatments
  • Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection
  • Monitor patient condition and communicate changes promptly to clinical staff
  • Document patient care accurately and timely
  • Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including cleaning, stocking, reordering, and troubleshooting
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned, including reception, scheduling, filing, data entry, and patient registration
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations
