Excellent communication skills are essential. Candidates must be or become proficient in the use of computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR). Current medical certification is required. CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Experience with casting application is beneficial. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures.
  • Prepare injections and medications, dress wounds and surgical incisions, and assist with casting.
  • Maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data.
  • Handle patient communication, including returning phone calls, calling in prescriptions, and ensuring all required lab work (e.g., blood tests, X-rays) is completed and available prior to patient appointments.
  • Triage incoming patient phone calls and relay critical information to the appropriate healthcare provider in a timely manner.
