Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Medical Assistant obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Support a variety of treatments and procedures as directed by the clinical team, working under the guidance of a Provider or Registered Nurse.
  • Patient Intake and Experience: Welcome patients, conduct initial interviews, accurately measure and record vital signs, and meticulously document all relevant information in patient charts, setting the tone for their care experience.
  • Provider Partnership & Documentation: Serve as a critical link in the documentation process. You will accurately record provider-patient encounters, detail all proper diagnoses and symptoms, and transcribe complex post-visit instructions and orders, including lab tests, radiology requests, and medication prescriptions.
  • Operational Readiness: Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by preparing and sterilizing treatment rooms for examinations.
  • Administrative Coordination: Manage essential support functions, including answering phones, maintaining organized patient records, filing, and assisting with materials management to ensure all supplies are ordered and stocked for uninterrupted patient care.
