About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to support both clinical and administrative tasks in our orthopedic clinic. This role involves taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments. Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, contributing to exceptional patient care and smooth clinical operations.

Requirements

Certified Medical Assistant from the National Healthcare Association or other nationally recognized organization.
Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting.
Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current.
Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and prepare them for exams and procedures, ensuring a warm and professional environment.
Accurately record patient information, medical histories, and vital signs in electronic health records (EHR).
Assist in collecting and processing specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
Provide patients with educational information regarding procedures, treatments, and preventative care.
Help manage appointments, follow-up calls, and patient communications efficiently.
Be responsible for prior authorization and checking benefit information prior to any procedure.
Provide patients with detailed information regarding any test results.
