The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) assists providers and other clinical staff by obtaining basic vital information and preparing patients for Bone Health examinations, treatments, and minor in-office procedures. This role is responsible for tracking follow-up appointments related to office visits, laboratory tests, and procedures to monitor disease status. Key tasks include scheduling referrals for specialists or outpatient services as requested by the provider, completing necessary forms or requisitions for referrals or lab testing with appropriate CPT/ICD-10 coding, and providing patient and family education.
