About The Position

As a Certified Medical Assistant working in our Interventional Physiatry Clinic located at our West Des Moines office, you will play a key part in a patient's journey. You will assist a Mid-Level Provider in clinic and ensure a positive patient experience. To thrive in this role, you have a prior experience in a Spine specialty setting and a passion for patient care. This is a part-time (24-hour) opportunity.

Requirements

  • Experienced. Eligible candidates must have 3 years of experience in a Spine specialty medical setting.
  • Certification. Active Certification in Medical Assisting.
  • Passionate. You are passionate about patient care and assisting them to get back to living.
  • Professional. Someone who can provide excellent patient care and assist patients with any inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Calm. Ability to provide reassurance when patients are nervous.

Responsibilities

  • You will room patients, gather necessary medical information and enter information quickly and accurately into an electronic medical record.
  • Work alongside a Mid-Level Provider in office, assisting with clinic flow, obtaining necessary information, and assist with directing patients on next steps in their journey.
  • Standing on your feet for extended periods of time which may seem unnatural.
