About The Position

Are you looking for the perfect, flexible opportunity to work in a pediatric office? HV Pediatrics is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a PT - 20-24 hours/week. Preferable that applicant be available to cover shifts if called on short notice. Office locations: HV Pediatrics Chippewa/Hopewell/Sewickley/Beaver Work hours: Varied during regular office hours Mon-Fri 8-5p; Sat 8-1pm or evenings 10-7pm Collects vital signs and patient history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
• CPR Certification
• Computer experience
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
• Minimum of one year medical assisting experience
• Proficient in venipuncture
