About The Position

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Urology team. The CMA will support our providers in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting with clinical procedures, patient intake, documentation, and coordination of care in a fast-paced specialty practice. This position plays a vital role in ensuring an efficient clinic flow while maintaining exceptional patient experience and clinical accuracy.

Requirements

Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required (AAMA, NHA, or equivalent)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
Prior urology or specialty practice experience preferred
Proficiency with EMR systems
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
Prepare patients for urological exams and in-office procedures
Assist the provider during examinations and minor surgical procedures
Perform clinical duties including injections, catheterization assistance, bladder scans, specimen collection, EKGs, and point-of-care testing as appropriate
Administer medications as directed by the provider
Process lab specimens and ensure proper documentation
Provide patient education regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care
Complete accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and diagnostic testing
Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock supplies
Follow infection control and OSHA standards
Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
