About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant position is located at a Weightloss Clinic in Oak Brook, Illinois. The clinic operates on a schedule that includes Monday from 8am to 5pm, Tuesday from 9am to 7pm, Wednesday from 8am to 5pm, Thursday from 8am to 5:30pm, Friday from 8am to 5pm, and rotating Saturdays from 9am to 1pm. This is a regular full-time position with a focus on providing excellent patient care and support to physicians during various medical procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active medical assistant certification through one of the following: AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA.
• CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required.
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Assist with immunizations or injections as a certified medical assistant.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.
