About The Position

The CMA provides appropriate delegated nursing care to patients, under the guidance and supervision of a licensed health care provider. This position is also responsible for performing activities that assist physicians, mid-level providers, nursing personnel and radiology technicians.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CMA certification from the NHA, NAHP, AAMA, or NCCT

Nice To Haves

  • One-year experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant in a clinical setting

Responsibilities

  • Conduct business in a professional manner and work as a team with other members of the clinic
  • Deliver direct patient care to patients as assigned, using established procedures
  • Document history; recording and reporting pertinent observations and patient reactions to staff, as appropriate; document lab procedures and ensure follow up on results
  • Use screening procedures, including medical history review, and observe and document patient vital signs as required
  • Maintain quality results by running standards and controls
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
  • Verify equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble-shooting; calibrate equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitor quality control measures and protocols
  • Train other technicians or workers
  • Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
