About The Position

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a qualified Certified Medical Assistant to join the Old Bridge Family Medicine team. This part-time position involves performing various clinical tasks, supporting practice needs, and ensuring a high standard of patient care in a compassionate environment.

Requirements

• Completion of a formal nurse assistance training program.
• At least six months of experience in a similar role.
• CMA Certification is required.
• BLS Certification from AHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, hearing and vision screens, urinalysis, injections, vaccinations, and medication administration.
• Support practice needs with clerical tasks including answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and collecting co-pays.
• Prepare rooms, arrange instruments and equipment, and maintain a neat and sanitary environment.
• Room patients, verify patient information, confirm the purpose of visit, obtain and record vitals, and update medical history.
• Communicate with patients and other providers as instructed by the overseeing physician or health practitioner.
• Create and maintain health record information, filing and organizing as needed.
