About The Position

As a CMA, You’ll Be An Essential Partner To Providers, Ensuring Smooth, Safe, And Efficient Patient Care Throughout Each Appointment. You’ll coordinate with the care team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services. Accurately recorded vitals, patient history, and documentation in electronic health records (EHR) to streamline provider workflows. Cultivate a warm, respectful, and inclusive environment for patients and families. Administered medications and assisted with pediatric procedures, adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines. Uphold safety standards with vigilance, reflecting our “First Do No Harm” philosophy. Prepare exam rooms and patients (especially pediatric), taking vitals and recording accurate medical histories. Novant Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
  • Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire.
  • Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA.
  • Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
