Requirements

• A Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties
• Strong understanding of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations
• Experience working in a cardiac care unit or heart center

Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s cardiovascular condition.
• Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to support heart health.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, escalating concerns to appropriate medical staff as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment in accordance with infection control and safety protocols.
