About The Position

As part of the team, you’ll work side-by-side with forward-thinking professionals who strive to provide the highest quality medical care by meeting and exceeding standards for clinical outcomes while delivering exceptional patient service in an evolving healthcare environment. Full time position with weekly late night and Saturday rotations. Responsible for providing high quality direct patient care while assisting providers and other clinical staff with patient care, other clinical, and administrative duties in a professional manner. Ability to competently and skillfully perform all clinical and clerical functions including, but not limited to: vital signs, injections, patient interview, electronic documentation, screening tools, lab/specimen prep, point of care collection and processing, processing records.. Must provide age-appropriate care in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the patient served.

Requirements

  • Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to vaccinate patients from newborns to mid-20s.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and digital record systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively and verbalize ideas
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrates the highest level of customer/client service and response
  • Demonstrates ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Registration (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Must be willing to travel to both office locations

Nice To Haves

  • One year of prior experience in a medical setting (preferred)
  • Spanish bi-lingual (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Preparing patients for examination by performing physical tests, obtaining vitals, reporting patient history summary.
  • Able to succeed in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Works well both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations.
  • Comfortable working with patients (newborns up to mid 20s), parents, and family members.
  • Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPPA, OSHA, etc.
  • Aides staff, providers, and other faculty as needed.
  • Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.
