About The Position

The position involves handling patient intake, updating medical records, and administering appropriate screening tools. The role requires recording medical information and test results, conducting patient interviews, taking and recording vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medication under physician supervision. Additionally, the position assists with both walk-in and scheduled clinic visits, ensuring the verification and recording of clinical data while adhering to quality standards. The individual will monitor the environment for compliance with continual accreditation readiness and evaluate the practice schedule for necessary changes or updates. Knowledge of the certified medical assistant scope of practice is essential, incorporating elements of holistic patient-centered and team-based care. The role also includes guiding patients through the health care system and helping them arrive at scheduled appointments on time, providing emotional support related to the patient's clinical situation in accordance with the patient's plan of care, and assisting with referrals to appropriate specialists for diagnosis or treatment. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• National Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program. National Certification CCMA from: NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT. OR Precertification agreement must be signed if expired or receiving certification within 60 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in Medical Care or related field.
• 1 year of experience in Health Care services.
