The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of the certified medical assistant scope of practice, incorporating elements of holistic patient-centered and team-based care. The role also includes guiding patients through the health care system and helping them arrive at scheduled appointments on time, providing emotional support related to the patient's clinical situation in accordance with the patient's plan of care, and assisting with referrals of patients to the appropriate specialist for diagnosis or treatment. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.
