About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in enhancing patient experience by providing essential information and support to help them fully utilize clinical services. This position may involve working in specific medical specialty departments, such as orthopedics, and requires a blend of clinical skills and patient interaction capabilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, medical assistant diploma from an accredited institution, or completion of a community college course in medical assisting.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant or completion of an externship in a medical office.
  • Current experience in performing EKGs, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary draws, and injections.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification within 26 months of hire.
  • Current CPR certification.

  • Experience in a specific medical specialty department (e.g., orthopedics).
