About The Position

The Medical Assistant position at Duly Health and Care in Naperville is a full-time role requiring 40 hours of work per week, with varying hours from Monday to Friday. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
  • Active medical assistant certification required for certain specialties (e.g., AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA).
  • CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire is required.
  • May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT, or 2 years of prior experience in a medical office assisting with patient care is required.
  • Prior experience using an electronic medical record is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and assist with registration and scheduling.
  • Measure vital signs and collect health history from patients.
  • Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes, and other first aid procedures.
  • Assist with immunizations or injections if certified as a medical assistant.
  • Help patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, and update charting and filing.
  • Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function tests, blood glucose tests, and urine pregnancy tests.
  • Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
  • Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
  • Travel to assist other local clinics as required.
