Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Harris Pediatrics, PRN
About The Position
The function of this position is to work alongside and assist Providers in the treatment of patients. Assists Providers with preparation and information documentation for the patient's visit including obtaining vitals, medical history and other pertinent information from the patient. Prepares exam rooms for patients. Assists Providers with procedures as directed by the Provider. Assists with collection of lab samples. Gives injections, administers meds, and provides wound care as ordered by Provider. Documents all care and education in medical record.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must hold valid certification as a Medical Assistant. CMA, RMA, NCMA or CCMA are acceptable.
- Must have the ability to work independently, have strong oral skills, good basic math skills and be computer literate.
- American Heart Association BLS certification (CPR) within 30 days of hire and maintained.
