As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) joining our team, you will support
physicians and clinical staff in delivering quality patient care while helping
ensure the clinic operates efficiently and effectively. Your skills, attention
to detail, and compassion will contribute to a positive patient experience and
improved health outcomes.

The Family Medicine Clinic at Highpoint Health Winchester provides comprehensive
primary care services to patients of all ages. Our team works collaboratively to
support preventive care, chronic disease management, and overall wellness in a
patient-centered environment focused on compassionate care and community health.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent required
• CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and nurses with patient assessments, treatments, and clinical procedures.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates changes to the care team as appropriate.
• Documents patient care and clinical information accurately in the medical record.
• Prepares examination rooms and maintains a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including stocking and reordering as needed.
• Performs administrative duties including scheduling, reception, data entry, filing, and patient registration.
• Supports patient flow and ensures a positive experience for patients and families.
