About The Position

The Medical Assistant functions under the direction of the Physician, Clinical Lead, Clinical Nurse Supervisor, Nurse Supervisor and/or Office Manager. This role involves recognizing patient's needs and symptoms in advance and providing direct patient care as directed by the physician. Key duties include preparing patients for exams, assisting during treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care, and accurately recording treatment in the medical record. The Medical Assistant also assists with explaining patient instructions to patients and their families. The position requires demonstrating competency and skills to serve patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatric populations. Additionally, the role may involve performing other duties related to front office registration, laboratory testing, and radiology functions within a specialty setting.

Basic Life Support Required
Cert Medical Assistant Required
BLS - Instructor Required
BLS - Provisional Required

Responsibilities

Functions under the direction of the Physician, Clinical Lead, Clinical Nurse Supervisor, Nurse Supervisor and/or Office Manager
