About The Position

Our growing outpatient clinic is excited to welcome a new team member to our dynamic practice! We are committed to delivering outstanding healthcare with an exceptional patient experience. Located on the 14th floor at the Adult Outpatient Pavilion, our Otolaryngology Clinic serves a diverse population of acute and chronic ear, nose, & throat conditions and our award-winning physicians perform a range of non-surgical and surgical procedures for our adult patients from all over the nation. If you are passionate about providing excellent care to patients and their families with a friendly and gentle approach, we want to hear from you! Our clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. No weekends, nights, or holidays are required. The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the physician.

Requirements

  • Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as, the American Association of Medical Assistants, the American Medical Technologists, The National Association of Healthcare Professions, the American Registry of Medical Assistants, or the National Healthcare Association.
  • AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
  • One (1) year of medical assistant work experience within the last three (3) years if individual is not a graduate of a medical assistant program
  • No work experience if individual is a graduate of a medical assistant program
  • Previous experience using a personal computer and various software applications, including Microsoft, e-mail, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of previous experience as a Certified Medical Assistant
  • Previous experience in an academic health care environment
  • Graduation from a Medical Assisting training program from an accredited program of study such as the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
