About The Position
Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our General Surgery Clinic Team in Libby, Montana. This full-time position involves working under the clinical supervision of physicians to assist in the delivery of patient care and treatment, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Board of Medical Examiners and the policies and procedures of Cabinet Peaks Medical Group. The CMA will play a crucial role in providing both clerical and administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. This position requires collaboration with Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and other department staff to address the physical, psychosocial, educational, and spiritual needs of patients and their families. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for various tasks, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and accurately recording information in the electronic medical record (EMR). The CMA will assist physicians during procedures, ensuring that appropriate consent is obtained beforehand. Additionally, the role includes performing tests as directed by the physician, managing care issues within the scope of practice, and maintaining compliance with practice regulations. The CMA will also handle follow-up calls and questions from patients, ensuring that all medical information is gathered and entered into the EMR system in a timely manner. This position requires a balance of front office/reception duties and direct patient care on a daily basis, contributing to a high-quality patient experience.
